Introduction:

SmartSense Consulting Solutions is a young company run by a young and dynamic team. Our expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has enabled us to provide innovative solutions to our clients. One such project was to automate the data extraction process from resumes for a leading recruitment agency.

Background:

We were facing difficulties in manually extracting data from resumes such as candidates’ full name, address, companies worked at, education details, projects worked on, technical skills, soft skills, date of birth, email, and phone number. The recruitment process was time-consuming and prone to errors. So we needed a solution to check if we can resolve this issue using AI to identify the skills and data of each candidate and get it in structured format.

Approach:

To address this challenge, our team at SmartSense Consulting Solutions developed a set of AI/ML models to do a POC for automated data extraction from resume. We used text-based transformer models to identify required identities and NLP algorithms to identify relevant data from resumes by working with the bounding boxes of the text. Our models were trained on thousands of resumes, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.

Results:

Our AI/ML-based data extraction solution resulted in a significant improvement in the recruitment process. We were able to extract data from resumes and store in Ne04j format, reducing the time spent on the manual process. The solution also eliminated errors and inaccuracies that were common with manual data extraction.
